Two of my favorite songwriters - Elvis Costello and Burt Bacharach - teamed up in 1998 to record an album together called Painted From Memory. The results were more than satisfying. Both masters of composing pop melodies, their talents combined well. Bacharach's trademark brass sound mixes perfectly with Costello's gritty-yet-delicate vocals.
